Hi friends
I like to spend time reflecting on the year gone by, before turning my face to the hazy white space of the New Year. To reflect, let go of, and appreciate what’s been. Nerves bite though, sticking my head in the sand often feels far more appealing. If we can find the courage to open our eyes, what we discover is so much more beautiful than we realise. We find our own exquisite life.
Our brief gaze back illuminates all our effort, our achievements big and small, our strength, our growth. We do not need to dwell on the past, but we also mustn’t turn away from the nourishment there. Our existence is a miracle. It may not always feel like that, but it’s a gift to have life, no matter the shape of it.
The year gone by is packed with an abundance of day to day living, all to celebrate, cherish or process, before we move forward. Let’s tend to our beating hearts in our nurturing hands.
End-of-year reflective journaling helps us acknowledge pivotal events, our highs and lows, deepen our understanding, let go of what doesn’t serve us. Then we are free to start a new chapter in 2025, whatever lies ahead, unburdened and refreshed - despite everything.
Discovery and personal growth is active and intentional. I know it sometimes feels uncomfortable, to be inside, or emerge from a chrysalis. I am here to cheer you on from the other side of these words today, and in the upcoming Bloom Sessions I’ll say more about soon.
Carve a space now, to process this year’s highs and lows, and build a deeper understanding of yourself. Let’s reflect, let go, appreciate and move forward with intention and authenticity.
Reconnect with your authentic self by embracing the truth.
Let go of what doesn’t serve you, unresolved issues, mistakes.
Create space for new possibilities.
Release built-up stress, sadness, or anxiety.
Identify patterns, habits or behaviours that hinder, or help your growth.
Celebrate your progress.
