Thank you for including me, Kate! It feels a little kismet as your original note forced me to reflect on the piece and realise I need to embrace this practice more closely again.

Six things I'm grateful for today:

- You featuring my work!

- Two years with a supportive partner (our anniversary is tomorrow)

- I managed my first run in three months

- I dedicated thirty minutes after work to my fiction project

- The longer days are here - it's 19:30 where I am and still very sunny!

- Having more than enough

I am so lucky!

100 percent agree. On my worst days, I am sometimes only grateful for hot water. But still, hot water is AWESOME. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

My six: This morning I am grateful for:

The lemon balm tea I am sipping, infused with the leaves picked just this morning from the garden

The happy smile on my daughter's face as she dodged my hug on the school parking lot ("don't hug me but I am happy you're hugging me")

My studio, lit by the soft morning sun

The voices, birdsong, and chicken clucks coming through the open window

The deflated sourdough bread I just pulled from the oven (I overdid the fermentation time - again!)

Your question, Kate, which has made me notice the above and write down this list

Thank you!
