What affirmation or three would you like to experiment with?

You know, affirmations work even if they don't. Today I was a mess, I was sick working + parenting. My dog threw up on the bed and as I took the blanket to the bathroom I told myself aloud: "Let's turn this around. It's challenge, I will come out stronger." And then I began to laugh. Because I was about to crumble after such minor incident, it was the last straw and saying those things felt funny. But still, I went out of the bathroom smiling and managed to finish my work.

Everything seems to happen at once! We can totally shift how we respond to things, I’m so glad you found a sense of humour! What else can you do? I hope your dog is better now 🐶

Good post, Kate! I hadn’t thought of including affirmations in journaling. Certainly would be a way toward altering the personal narrative. I, like you, have many “ Irons in the Fire “. Taking a break from the chaotic schedule next week to visit London and Scotland. I bought a small journaling book specifically for the trip and I imagine writing often and perhaps extensively. I’ll try the affirmations there, as traveling usually opens up the mind a bit. I wish you luck with your multiple projects. You’ll do and be more than you imagined! Thanks for the post!

Life seems pretty full on! Thanks for coming on here to drop this gem.

Sending your child off is hard and exciting for them. We felt their absence keenly, especially at meal times and family activities. I hope they call home often. xx

The decluttering process from a family home is also emotionally draining. I ended up with boxes of stuff from my mum’s. Boy, is she happy in her retirement village apartment. No grounds to keep, no clutter. I saw her relax properly for the first time, instead of always having something to do around the house.

I was listening to affirmation audios the other day. They were recorded by someone else, but I heard if you record your own it’s even more powerful. 😊

Feeling all this and sending you love for this FULL season. I really need to work on my affirmation so giving it thought...It makes me think of the Emily Dickinson line "Forever is composed of nows"...that reminder to just write the next line in our lives...you're amazing Kate. Thank you for sharing xo
