How was it? What other mindful moments can you create through your day, to stop life passing you by? Chopping veg, showering, driving are some of mine!

This is one of the things I love so much about tea. The deliberate pause. The ritual, the thought, the time, the choosing of all the different elements… And why I would never get a boiling water tap!

Oh yes, those taps are joy removers! ☕️🫶✨

That's a lovely way of finding more time for mindfulness, and now I need to go and make myself a cup of tea

This morning I've been drinking "Garden Of The Immortals 2024 Honey Peach Fragrance Dancong Oolong". If that's a bit of a mouthful, the tea itself is a mouthful and a half of warm and fruity meditative goodness! Leaves in bowl, watered, steeped, poured, sipped, savoured... And transported to a peaceful, happy place.

Each moment with the beautiful tea, from dry leaf to spent leaves, is a chance for calm focus. I'll even look at each individual leaf in my gaiwan at the end of a long session. Tea has been my one key hobby for nearly two decades and there's no sign that'll change any time soon.

I love the reminder to stay present and doing so while making tea is a wonderful idea. I also find mindfulness during walks with my dog, often in the quiet early morning, to be a perfect opportunity. I use my senses as a way to focus and love noticing the sounds and smells I would otherwise miss.

This slowing & being mindful in the everyday movements & tasks can uplift - today has been a mentally tough one but I just mindfully made myself a cup of tea & noticed the fading evening light with pink hued skies. What a treat that I very nearly missed!!

I set up an app - Mindfulness Bell - which alerts me randomly, and reminds me to take three calming breaths. My therapist calls in my 'pause button'... recommend 😊

It's a good app - you can choose your sound ( I have number 5, which is a good meditation-bell sound) and set your timing to a regular spacing or random, and choose when it is not operational.

It doesn't always work - though I think that's my phone. And it's free 😊
