Hello friends,
And an extra big hello to new subscribers - welcome! I am excited to find my writing home here on Substack and wanted to introduce myself properly. Thank you so much for being here.
‘Let go of who you think you are supposed to be, and embrace who you are.’ Brené Brown
My journey to becoming a therapist started 19 years ago, spurred by losses that left me feeling isolated and afraid. In that space I found the courage to follow my dream to be a therapist. I let my soul lead the way, and turned my pain into treasure for others, helping them let go of old stories and find themselves. Now I distill useful concepts from therapy into writing, ideas that help me too, for you to ponder and flourish in your one precious life.
“Your words resonate deeply. Thank you for your words.” Sue

About me
Therapy Life: As a London therapist for 16 years I held a space for my lovely clients to unravel their inner knots to liberate their true self. They found their way to be in the world, even when they felt all hope was lost. I am creating a space like that here for you.* I am an integrative psychotherapist with a Prof Dip in Therapeutic Counselling and a MSc in Contemporary Gestalt (Humanistic) Psychotherapy.
Creative Life: Grace and Flora is my nature jewellery business and happy place for the last 12 years. Daily creativity and alchemy are my fuel! I used to love Instagram, building 11k followers there, but I prefer it here on Substack: writing is my other love.
Personal Life: I am in midlife, in my fiftieth year, and mum to an awesome teenage daughter, who is off to Uni soon. I can’t believe it either! I co-parent with my ex-husband. I’m also mum of two ‘angel’ stillborn babies whose profound impact on my life led me down this path of truth, love and healing almost twenty years ago.
Pepper, my daxi-jack keeps me perky and enjoys daily walks in nature as much as me.
“You write beautifully” Jan
